VES Precision is based in Crewkerne, Somerset and was established in 1991 in order to provide precision engineering and subcontract machining services to local companies such as Westland Helicopters (now Leonardo Helicopters) and Normalair Garrett (now Honeywell Aerospace) both of which are located less than 15 miles away in Yeovil, Somerset.
Since that time the company has expanded to occupy our current premises of 14,500 square feet.
In 2017 the company unveiled a brand-new purpose-built milling hall featuring a 5-axis machine and pallet loader, 3 and 4 axis CNC mills, overhead gantry cranes and also houses the technical/design department.
VES Precision offers a complete machining service with capabilities including CNC milling, turning, EDM Wire Erosion, grinding, lapping and surface blasting as well as a dedicated in-house inspection facility.
The company holds the coveted NADCAP accreditation for Wire EDM and with more than 13 EDM machines we are one of the UK’s largest EDM service providers to the aerospace industry.
In addition to NADCAP accreditation; VES Precision also has AS9100 and ISO9001 approvals as well as customer approvals from Rolls Royce, Honeywell, Leonardo Helicopters, Doncasters Group and Tritech Group.
Industries include but are not limited to aerospace, automotive, oil, energy, marine, packaging and food processing.
VES Precision is also one of the leading suppliers of after-market punch and die assemblies serving the packaging and pharmaceutical industries for the application of cutting thermoform plastic trays and blister packs.
We provide a complete design and build service in this respect and many of our customers report increased tool life and improved cutting ability compared to OEM manufacturers’ products and at a highly competitive price.
